About our Sales Operation

DebRon’s Fuchsia Breeder, ‘Bloomin’ by the Blues’ is a small nursery. Greenhouse space is very limited, with much of the available space dedicated to the breeding and evaluation of new fuchsia varieties.

We only propagate and sell DebRon's fuchsia varieties. Plant production is very limited and at times, subject to the whims of Mother Nature. Bear with us if you don't find what you were hoping to obtain. Send us a message to inform us which DebRon's you're waiting for. We'll give you a heads up where it is in production.

On occasion, we become plant gypsies and sell at community and plant society plant sales. Those sales will be posted on the website.

Please respect that we are not open to the public. Plants are not available for sale at the nursery except during special events that will be posted on the website.

Shipping Season

Shipping will begin about April 1 and continue through June so long as plants are available and of good quality.

USPS Shipping

We use USPS priority flat rate boxes for shipping. At this point, we are not using UPS, FedEx or other carriers.

Ordering Info

At this time, we have no minimum online order. However, to defray shipping costs per plant, we advise ordering multiples. Besides, ordering in multiples will ensure your fuchsias aren’t lonely in transit.

The cost of plant handling is included in the plant price. All plants are wrapped individually in freezer paper and carefully packaged in a cardboard box. This has been a successful way of shipping for us that causes a minimum amount of road rash on the plants.  We do our best to only ship healthy well grown plants, free of pests and disease, and tagged correctly.

At this time, we only sell 2” starter plants on-line. This is to maximize the number of plants available, and to defray the costs of getting DebRon’s plants in your hands. These plants will be ready to pot up when they arrive to you. Please be sure to get them potted to a larger container as soon as possible after they arrive to you.

Stock of each variety is limited to plants on hand. Plant production is ongoing through the winter and into spring. Plants will not be released for shipping until they are of sufficient size and quality. If an order cannot be fulfilled because of insufficient quantity or quality of plants, we will NOT substitute other varieties without contacting you first.

Shipment Timing

The shipping season is approximate, from April 1 shipping to warmer regions though June as plant supplies last. There may also be a shipping window in September for shipping hardy varieties.

It is your responsibility to provide a suitable frost-free environment for the plants after they have been received and potted up. All fuchsias in containers, regardless of hardiness, are susceptible to frost and freeze damage. It is best to arrange shipping to a time when you know your transit conditions are above freezing and your growing conditions are conducive to proper plant health. We do not warranty plants that have frozen in transit nor ones that have succumbed to freezing after delivery.

Order Changes

We will do whatever we can to accommodate changes to an existing
order up to the point it has been packaged. If the requested change adds more plants than the number in the original order, the additional plants will be treated as a new order.

Shipping Issues

We only use United States Postal Service (USPS) priority mail for shipping plants. All shipments will be made on Monday or Tuesday unless directed to do so otherwise by the client. NO shipments will be made on Saturday or Sunday.

Upon arrival of your order, please inspect the box before unpacking. If the shipping box is damaged, take a picture of the box BEFORE OPENING the package to inspect the plants.

Remove the plants from the packaging immediately. Unless there was a severe issue in transit, there should be no more damage than a few bruised leaves and minor breakage. Keep in mind that the poor little plants have been confined with no sun or water for a couple days and may look a little road weary. Please provide photos if you feel there is excessive shipment damage or a fulfillment error.

Contact must be made by email within 5 days of receipt if you have any concerns with your order. If there is major damage to the plants or if we have made a fulfillment mistake, then we will do whatever we can to correct the situation by way of replacement. If we hear no concerns within five days after receiving your order, we will assume that all is well. In no case shall any liability exceed the cost of the plants purchased.

No Plant Guarantee

Beyond the warranty of shipping damage or fulfillment error, we cannot offer any type of plant guarantee. There are too many home garden variables that are outside of our control that can lead to the death of a plant. We have tried to put our experience and passion in growing fuchsias into words and photos on the website. It is our hope that the information here will give you knowledge and confidence to avoid the potential pitfalls and maximize the success you'll have with your plants.
